PLANNING AHEAD FOR SOLO SENIORS PRESENTATION
Getting the Medical Care You Want
If you lack reliable family support, you probably worry about who will be there for you in old age. Join them for a presentation about these issues with suggestions for action.
The Solo Senior Support Project is an educational program developed by Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Southern Arizona to assist Solo Seniors in planning for end of life. The program consists of four different topics and will be presented at the Wilmot Library for the general public via RSVP. The first presentation focuses on “Getting the Medical Care You Want.” This presentation will focus on issues that seniors face regarding medical decision making for end of life care or in instances of incapacitation. Along with educating them about the nuances of the topic, we will explain a new JFCS service, called the Surrogate Program, in serving as a solution for Solo Seniors when planning for these situations.
